QUESTION:
How do i treat what i think is a yeast infection?
I am a 21 year old athletic female. I gave birth to one child December 10 2007. I have never had symptoms or been treated for a yeast infection, but I think I have one right now! It hurts really bad! Like it's burning and there is white discharge. I can't go to the doctor until tomorrow night at the soonest because I have an important audition to go to! What can I do to stay comfortable during my audition??Thanks for the help.
-
ANSWER:
You're going to the doctor tomorrow. The only thing I can tell you is to just deal with it. Maybe wear a pantyliner for the discharge.I don't think that it would be a good idea to treat yourself, just in case it isn't actually a yeast infection.

QUESTION:
Is it possible to have pregnancy symptoms 18 days after conception?
My husband and I do not use protection since I was told back in my twenties that I could not have children. I am now 36. It is too soon for my period, its not due for another 7 days. But I have been having strange sensations lately ie slight nausia, dizziness, hot and cold sweats. I do not have the typical symptoms such as breast tendersness. I am developing a yeast infection which is something that I have never had before. And lately, have had slight heart palpitations that come a go. So anyway, my question is can you actually experience symptoms of pregnancy 20 days after "conception"?-
ANSWER:
Yes, it is very possible to have pregnancy symptoms after conception. I am now 38 years old and have three children ages18, 17, and 3. Yes, I said 3, i was told that I could not have anymore children after my second child, due to female problems. At the ripe old age of 35 I found my self pregnant with baby # 3. I had my last cycle on November 1st, I was pregnant by November 13th according to my doctors. I was craving ham and having morning sickness by Thanksgiving and beyond!

ANSWER:
Yeast infections are often passed back and forth between partners.
If one is treated and the other is not, you'll get the infection again.
There is a possibility of getting it in the mouth, too.
I think then, it is called thrush.
Both of you should see your doc and ask some REAL questions while you are there.
Don't be shy. Your health depends on it.
