Symptoms of a Bad Yeast Infection | eHow.co.uk

Systemic yeast infections or candida may well be the unknown epidemic of the day and are most often caused by the use of antibiotics. Systemic yeast infections (fungus) are extremely difficult to detect and kill. New information about the underlying cause of yeast infection -- a relatively new branch of medical science -- is discovering that chronic intestinal and systemic yeast infections are at the root of a host of medical problems including chronic fatigue, allergies, chronic infections, and many, many others. And, as you might expect, these intestinal and systemic yeast infections are also the source of other recurrent and chronic yeast infection conditions such as dandruff and vaginal yeast infection.

It is speculated that 80%-90% of the population is affected by a candida or a systemic yeast infection (men, women and children). If you are very disciplined you may have even tried the infamous candida diet, which attempts to "starve" the candida by depriving it of the foods that are easily converted to the sugar that feeds systemic yeast infections (Low Carb or the GI). Many diseases are often misdiagnosed in humans when the actual underlying cause is Candida Albicans (a systemic yeast infection). Some of the diseases a systemic yeast infection can cause are:arthritis, gout, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, crohns disease, irritable bowel syndrome, asthma, allergies, acid reflux, arteriosclerosis, psoriasis, eczema, roscea, hives, acne, dandruff, depression. Most of these diseases are of an "unknown" cause.

If your doctor thinks you have a systemic yeast infection, a blood, stool or tissue sample will be tested for the fungus. If your doctor determines that you have a systemic yeast infection, you may get intravenous doses of amphotericin or flucytosine. To combat systemic yeast infection one may use enzymes, which work specifically to help the body return to balance and helps in combating Candida yeast, as well as cleaning out toxins from the body, re-establishing good bacteria and pushing out the yeast and also enables the person to eat better foods. They play a crucial role in combating systemic yeast infection by flushing out the dying Candida yeast toxins out of the body and free radicals at the level of cells. Similar to other types of yeast infections, systemic yeast infection usually occur secondary to anything that weakens the body's natural barrier against colonizing organisms. The diseases and problems of systemic yeast infections can be quite varied as well as life threatening.

Treatment

Consult your practitioner before beginning or making changes to your diet, supplements, exercise program, diagnosis or treatment of illness or injuries and for advice regarding medications. Systemic yeast infections are unaffected by antibiotics and are able to thrive and take over the body and, as the yeast gets into new territories, it entrenches itself and will continue doing so and makes further advances until some treatment is taken to control and eliminate it.

Fortunately, there is an effective oral treatment option for the treatment of yeast infections. Treat your yeast infection with a single oral dose of Diflucan, the most effective yeast infection treatment. In a recent survey of some 179 women who have used both Diflucan and vaginally inserted creams, 9 out of ten women preferred Diflucan for the treatment of yeast infections. Unlike previous treatment options were messy inserted creams had to be applied, Diflucan offers a one time pill that is just as effective as the seven day application of a cream.

  1. QUESTION:
I have a yeast infection and i had sex with my BF and i didnt kno i had it.?
could my boyfriend really catch it from me if i didnt even have any symptoms or anything? can he get it in his mouth if he went down on me? Then could i get it from going down on him? I really want to know everything there is to know about yeast infections and how to try and prevent it from coming back. I would really appreciate any info you guys can give me. Im afraid of being able to have children.

    • ANSWER:
Yeast infections are often passed back and forth between partners.
If one is treated and the other is not, you'll get the infection again.
There is a possibility of getting it in the mouth, too.
I think then, it is called thrush.
Both of you should see your doc and ask some REAL questions while you are there.
Don't be shy. Your health depends on it.

  2. QUESTION:
To any woman who's ever had a yeast infection.. help please?! TMI warning.?
I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant with my second child. I've never had a yeast infection before but today I noticed some watery cottage-cheese like discharge with a yellowish tint. I called my OB and he said it's probably a yeast infection and to treat it with monistat and follow up in the office. Are these the symptoms you had with a yeast infection? Sorry I know it's kinda gross!

    • ANSWER:
Sounds about right. They can't give you Difflucan or other internal meds when you're pregnant so make sure you only take what your OB approves. You might want to visit your OB and have them take a swab to confirm that's all it is. Hormones from preg. can mess with your Ph. Good luck with your baby!

  3. QUESTION:

I am 9 weeks pregnant with our 2nd child. This will be the first time I have had a yeast infection. The doctor wants us to use canesten, I should put in on the outside, and he should put it on his tip. But he wont...cause he says he has no symptoms.
The doctor says we could be passing it back and forth and this would
    be the best thing.

  4. QUESTION:
Will I be able to have children in the future?
I'm a 14 year old girl and when I'm an adult/married/financially able, I want to have children. However, at the moment, I have a yeast infection and am beginning treatment today even though I have been experiencing symptoms since Sunday. Will that affect my ability to have children in the future? I'm so scared/sad and need people's opinions. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Of course. Tons of people get yeast infections and concieve later in life. In fact, my cousin's little girl has one now and is only a year old. You have probably had them before and are still quite capable of producing children...at least ten years down the line.

  5. QUESTION:
Is it possible to have pregnancy symptoms 18 days after conception?
My husband and I do not use protection since I was told back in my twenties that I could not have children. I am now 36. It is too soon for my period, its not due for another 7 days. But I have been having strange sensations lately ie slight nausia, dizziness, hot and cold sweats. I do not have the typical symptoms such as breast tendersness. I am developing a yeast infection which is something that I have never had before. And lately, have had slight heart palpitations that come a go. So anyway, my question is can you actually experience symptoms of pregnancy 20 days after "conception"?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it is very possible to have pregnancy symptoms after conception. I am now 38 years old and have three children ages18, 17, and 3. Yes, I said 3, i was told that I could not have anymore children after my second child, due to female problems. At the ripe old age of 35 I found my self pregnant with baby # 3. I had my last cycle on November 1st, I was pregnant by November 13th according to my doctors. I was craving ham and having morning sickness by Thanksgiving and beyond!
