Skin yeast infections can occur under the arms, along the inner thigh, under the breasts, under excess fatty folds, in the crease of the buttocks, under finger nails, under toe nails, and in the webs of fingers and toes. Skin yeast infections have been linked with elevated blood cholesterol levels. Humidity, tight clothing, poor hygiene, topical steroids, and other skin diseases can contribute to skin yeast infections.

If you find that your skin yeast infections are coming back frequently, you might try changing your diet to see if certain foods are causing the problems. Intestinal yeast as well as skin yeast is one of the most common, but pain during urination is occurring with many people too, along with intense vaginal and skin yeast infections. Jock itch, toenail fungus, dandruff, athlete's feet, and ringworm, are also very common skin yeast infections. People with infections of the lungs have been found to suffer from skin yeast infections. Remember that skin yeast infections are usually a sign that something is wrong inside the body.

The newest product that is getting great results for skin yeast infections is Gentian Violet. Another very good product for skin yeast infections is Aceium. Most skin yeast infections primarily affect the surface of the skin only, which means that many can be effectively treated with topical antifungal ointments. These common types of skin yeast infections can affect other parts of the body as well. These include mouth yeast infections, penile yeast infections, and skin yeast infections. If you do come into contact with a person who has skin yeast infections there is a very good chance that the infection will be passed to you. The same applies to using the same towel as a person with skin yeast infections. It is highly recommended that you keep your towel separate from all other towels while you have skin yeast infections and until you are cured.

Although it may sound old fashioned you should first soak your infected clothes in boiling water prior to a full laundering as well to thoroughly eliminate all signs of the skin yeast infections. Another thing that you can do if you suffer from skin yeast infections is to gently pat yourself dry instead of rubbing, the places where you have skin yeast infections. For skin yeast infections treatments you will need to ask your doctor what options are available to you. Neem has the versatility to eliminate Candida infections, skin yeast infections, oral thrush, and any other type of yeast / fungal infection.

Overgrowth of candida often produces gas, bloating, skin yeast infections and other symptoms. The symptoms of this include chronic fatigue, muscle or joint pain, brain fog, recurrent vaginal or skin yeast infections, diarrhea, constipation and significant abdominal bloating after meals. These skin yeast infections are fairly easy to treat if you have the right products. Using antifungal creams of the "azole" family of medicines is the usual treatment for skin yeast infections. Skin yeast infections are also relatively easy to diagnose, although it's not recommended that you do so yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
does anyone know if Solodyn antibiotic for skin causes yeast infections commonly?
i've been on this pill, Solodyn, precribed by my dermatologist for a couple of months and he prescribed it for another 2 months today. i've lately been feeling like i have to pee alot and i don't i don't know if that is something to do with it?
    any ideas?
    it burns a little.

    • ANSWER:
Yeast infections sometimes occur with any antibiotic. The antibiotic kills off the bacteria in the infection (that's what it is supposed to do). But with the bacteria gone, any yeast cells can grow without competition. You might want to read this Web page, which mentions this issue with respect to Solodyn.

On the other hand, frequent urination is not a common effect of Solodyn. If anything, it is likely to make you go less frequently.

Bottom line: you need to tell your doctor what is happening. He may want to treat you for a yeast infection as well. Call the doctor's office and tell them your concerns. Good luck!!

  2. QUESTION:
Is it grains like bread that cause yeast skin infections?
I am asking about my dog. I know this is not the dog section but they don't know much about yeast infections. Dogs who have reddish stains under their eyes are said to have this because of yeast. They are called "tear stains" because the eye area gets a little wet from overproduction of tears and then ends up sitting in the hair which in turn breeds yeast. So I wonder, is it the grains or breads in the dog's diet that causes these yeast infections in the wet hair under the eyes?

I wonder if in humans, they get yeast infections from eating so many refined carbs. Is this true? Then it may be true for dogs who eat too many refined carbs from their kibble.

    • ANSWER:
It could! Especially if the grains are high in sugar and yeast. Although, I heard grain-free kibble is not so great after all... so I would switch to something with very high quality grains... still mostly protein and meat and organs but some grains and veggies and fruits. As long as those are crushed or pureed then the dog can benefit from the many many nutrients!

  3. QUESTION:
Can a Yeast Infections cause broken skin or redness on the vulva?

    • ANSWER:
yes, and you also may have scratched inadvertently while you were sleeping to cause this as well. be careful!

  4. QUESTION:
can yeast infections cause skin to peel?
If you are not a woman, or have not had a yeast infection please do not waste my time with your juvenile responses. I'd like to think that we could all be mature adults on the internet. That being said...

I am starting to suspect that I suffer from yeast infections. I am 22 years old. This has happened to me probably around a handful of times, and it is typically a week or so before my period. I experience itching in the vaginal area. At certain times I don't even feel it, and at other times it is a very severe itching. The inside of my labia minora are red, as is the opening of the vagina. After a few days of this, the skin on my labia minora begins to peel off. At first when I looked I thought it was toilet paper but i went to take it off and indeed it was skin. Please share your yeast infection experiences and any advice you can offer to help me. (Yes I will be making a DR appointment) Thank you!

PS - I've had this occur about a handful of times over the past few years... even before I was sexually active.
this has occured SINCE before i was sexually active. I have been sexually active for about 4 years now. I am in a long-term monogomous relationship so I am on the pill - no lube or condoms...
    :-(

    • ANSWER:
I've never had these symptoms with a yeast infection but when i had itching and peeling skin, i went to the Dr and he told me i was allergic to the lubricant my partner and i were using. Could this be it?

Edit :Oh sorry i just read that you had this before you was sexually active. Drink lots of cranberry juice also to prevent further yeast infections!

  5. QUESTION:
Can yeast infections cause skin conditions.. !?
I had mine for about three or so weeks before I could get treatment for it. I started treatment on the 23rd and ended it on the 25th, everything was cleared; no discharge or itching.

But on the 10th of Nov, a week after I got the infection.. I noticed small white bumps on my labia which look and were diagnosed as swollen/blocked subaneous glands..

I never had sex and have only done foreplay once.

    • ANSWER:
Whether its related to the yeast infection or not, its a good idea to check with your doc.
