Yeast infection bleeding can occur in several parts of the body and it can cause lot of discomfort. In women, bleeding is associated mostly with the vagina and is the leading cause is inflammation and cuts. Women continue to use creams and other remedies which are usually inserted in the vagina. When you have an infection by yeast, you will have your skin in and around the vagina very sensitive and scratchy. When you keep applying many products you will definitely irritate the condition even more. There are also people who find themselves bleeding while they are suffering from thrush. Very young children and some adults usually engage in scrapping of the red patches in the mouth.

You will only suffer from yeast infection bleeding when you have the condition of yeast. Yeast is a single celled fungus that can be found naturally in the body of human beings. Yeast has the ability to increase and become greater in amount. There are many factors that come to play when the yeast is about to multiply. Some of the major factors that cause yeast to grow in the body of a human being are changes that can either be hormonal or just physical. The use of drugs like antibiotics and steroids will alter the normal function of the body. This means that there are vital organisms that will be destroyed by the drugs.

On the topic of yeast infection bleeding, the organisms that will be destroyed by the antibiotics are the friendly bacteria which are called probiotics. They are vital because they help eliminate yeast and keep infections a bay. Antibiotics will be given by a doctor to heal other bacterial infections and since they do not recognize good bacteria, they also kill it. Steroids also serve the same purpose and you are advised not to take steroids if you have the option of another drug medically. Hormonal imbalance in women plays a major role to cause infection in the body. Pregnancy is the leading cause of hormonal imbalance and infections by yeast will be very common.

If you are pregnant and have yeast infection bleeding due to all the products you have been using to treat, you should not waste anytime because the cause of bleeding was just an assumption. Many women who have lost their viable babies and they have been through the worse kind of experience. Birth control pills and menopause have also contributed to hormonal imbalance and what you can do is to discontinue the use of antibiotics. There are other treatments which are usually administered and you need to see a health professional.

Yeast infection bleeding has been reported by a few people who were undergoing menopause. If you are in the same situation, you need to see a doctor because the cases are quite isolated. Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Can Yeast Infections During Pregnancy Cause Bleeding?
Anyone ever have bleeding in pregnancy that was due to or caused by a Yeast Infection?
What treatment did you use & how effective was it?

    • ANSWER:
Any time you suspect an infection during pregnancy you should see your doctor and have them recommend a treatment. Bacterial Vaginosis often looks like a yeast infection, but can only be treated with antibiotics, and is much more likely to lead to preterm birth and other complications.

  2. QUESTION:
Yeast infection in early pregnancy? Bleeding/burning during-after sex It just started a few days ago? 10dpo?
My boyfriend and I aren't TRYING to concieve but we wouldn't mind if it happened we are perfectly stable for this kind of responsiblilty. I'm not on any type of birth control including condoms. Most times we use the pull out method.

I had my period Feb. 7th-12 and then again March 7th-12 -- My period has been pretty regular in the last few months but befor Jan. it's been irregular. I have "extra follicles" on my ovaries and doctors are still trying to figure out what it is we already know it's not PCOS.

-If my period was March 7th I would have ovulated on the 21st
My partner and I has sex March 16th where he came inside of me and on the 18th, 19th, 21th, 22th, 25th..--> pulling out.

-In the past couple of days i've noticed that when we have sex it's a burning feeling for a little while and sometimes I spot/bleed during and after sex. I have not STD"s and no infections.

-I have an appointment with my OB/GYN on April 13th.

-Yesterday I was cramping for a slight minute or so and usually only have pain in my left ovary. I've been tired but i just figure it's because i go to school full time, and we just moved two months ago.

What are my chances of getting pregnant. I'm now 9 DPO I believe and I'm really scared to test. I have an early response pregnancy test at my home right now I just don't wanna take it yet untile I miss AF.

*** For the last couple days i've been noticing that everytime I have sex with my partner it burns really bad and then for a little while after and when I go pee it just burns my vagina. I've heard that yeast infections are common in early pregnancy, and i'm hoping that this is a sign :) idk if it's from friction or what but it's NEVER been like this before. Mind you he still pulls out.

thanks alot ladies. Please share any experiances or whatever. Easy 10 points

    • ANSWER:
It is unlikely to have this many symptoms only 9 dpo, I would assume you just have an unrelated yeast infection. However, that does not mean that you are not pregnant. I would still wait a few days and then take the test!
      Good Luck!

  3. QUESTION:
Bleeding during pregnancy? If so may consider this.?
My wife was 5 weeks pregnant and was spotting and even at one point had a patch of blood that was pretty dark and tiny bits of skin it seemed. We were both worried and she felt like something was definitly wrong. So we got an ultrasound done and it was nothing. The next day she realized that it may be a yeast infection and sure enough it was. Yeast infections cause bleeding in early pregnancy, but if worried consult a doctor. Just bring up the fact that it may be that.
Though it seems that everyone is saying that I am telling women wrong information. I didn't say that, this was the case I know that bleeding can be caused by the placenta being low in pregnancy and my wife is also RH negative and I am positive she has had to have 3 rogham shots. I just never said that this was the case in all bleeding while pregnant scenarios.
This is the wife here, and I am just going to tell all you women out there that my husband is not wrong in this situation. I am the one who told him to post this stuff, so basically you're telling me that I'm an idiot and i have no idea what i'm talking about. I have been to the hospital twice because of threatened miscarriage. I may still have one...who knows? but, i was just trying to offer a little friendly advice and try to ease your worries about the bleeding...not once did my husband say to not see your doctor. so advice from men who are experiencing pregnancy with their wives is not dangerous, okay? It can actually help you a little if you stop being so feministic and close-minded. Everything he wrote was based on what I am experiencing right now, so he's not wrong AT ALL!! I guarantee you that some women who are experiencing bleeding and 'clotting' have a yeast infection and don't even know it. so stop stressing about it and go to the damn doctor. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
"While not all women experience the following symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection, it's possible to have: vaginal soreness or irritation, a rash on the vulva around the vagina, pain or discomfort during intercourse, abdominal pain, soreness of the vulva or vagina, burning during urination, and even vaginal bleeding in some cases in addition to itching and discharge."

An occasional symptom of a yeast infection is bleeding, but to say that yeast infections cause bleeding in early pregnancy is misleading and not supported by any federally accepted scientific research.

Bleeding with clots during pregnancy is very often a sign of miscarriage (the #1 sign of miscarriage). The clots your wife was seeing is the "cottage cheese" type discharge that goes along with yeast infections. If you see BLOOD CLOTS.. please know this is always a serious sign and should be examined by a doctor immediately.

Also- no 1 day OTC yeast infection medication is safe for use by a pregnant woman, especially one that has not been seen by a dr and has vaginal bleeding. Always use a 7 day creme and only if your symptoms have been confirmed by a doctor to be a yeast infection, or it is not your first yeast infection.

Men on the internet, giving women advice about their bodies with little more then a single second hand experience can be dangerous

Anyone have a yeast infection during pregnancy? IDK what this is and IDK if i'm pregnant. Please help me out!?

    • ANSWER:
I hope you figure this out! Its so frustrating not knowing whats going on with your body isn't it?

Sperm can survive up to five days on fertile mucus. So having sex on the 16th if you ovulated on the 21st could def have gotten you pregnant. Also, the reason the pull out method isn't always the best bet for protection is because when a man is inside of you, there is usually some pre-ejaculate that gets released without him even knowing it. There is enough sperm in the pre-ejaculate to get you pregnant. So even if he doesn't cum inside you, he is still releasing sperm.

That being said, you may have even gotten pregnant right on your ovulation day!!! This is what happened with Baby #2, we were very surprised as we were using the pull out method and putting a condom on at the "last minute"!!!!

Implantation bleeding always happened between 7 and 9 dpo for me. That could be it for you. It was usually a spot of red or pink and sometimes brown. (I have three babies and spotted with all three)

It also sounds like maybe a UTI because of the burning while you pee. I know that when I am pregnant my husband always tell me I am warmer "down there" so that could also be it.

I think that the appointment with your OB/GYN is a great idea since bleeding between cycles can be a dangerous thing and UTI's are no walk in the park either, but you do sound like you may be pregnant and you def had sex at the right time to be pregnant!

You could get a positive result now, but the earliest I have ever gotten a positive result is 11dpo and the line was soooo faint. (I also used dollar tree and they work great and soo cheap)
Use you first morning urine as it is more concentrated, especially if you test early in your cycle.

I hope this helps and good luck!

  5. QUESTION:
    Persistent yeast infection during pregnancy?
So I had a yeast infection at about 14 weeks and my doctor treated with the pill form. I have read it is unsafe and asked her but she insisted it was ok in the second trimester. I tried the monistat 7 day treatment and it caused me to bleed. So she told me to just use the pill. Now I am 18 weeks and I have a yeast infection again! I think it is because of the soap I use, so I am switching that now but any other ladies have more than one yeast infection. I heard they are bad in the second trimester but geez. Any get prescribed anything other than monistat? I do not want to take the pill form again, so what else can be used. I am not taking anything till I consult my ob tomorrow but want to know what you ladies took, or if you had a persistent yeast infection?

    • ANSWER:
With my first daughter I took Diflucan which is the pill. I took it twice and she is fine. With this one I have had a yeast infection since about 8 weeks and my midwife gave me a prescription cream. I read the insert that came with it and it said not to use it in the first trimester so I have used anything. I am now 12.3 weeks and it still hasn't gone away. It isn't causing me too much discomfort and I read that yeast infections can't harm the fetus. But I see my doctor Tuesday and will have him prescribe me something to get rid of this!
