natural cures for urinary tract infection

Yeast infection is also known as candidiasis, a common infection caused by a type of fungus called candida albican. Once you have it, you will begin to wonder how long a yeast infection will last and what you can do to heal quickly. It depends on the severity of your yeast infection, certain conditions last for a few days, weeks, months or even years, and some had the infection comes and goes very often throughout the year.

Yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of yeast in the body. When our bodies do not have enough good bacteria to fight evil ones and also with abnormal pH level, it can allow the yeast to take and develop.

Usually with the right treatment, yeast symptoms will begin to fade within a week. If the infection is last longer more than a week of treatment, this means that the yeast has shown resistance to the treatment. This probably may happen on cases using over the counter medicines such as creams and gels yeast. Instead of treating the problem, the yeast is more difficult to kill because of the level of drug resistance is stronger with time.

If you have gone through a similar problem like this, you are probably very frustrated with the state to improve the infection with the right treatment. Think and analyze the problem carefully, did you just focus to apply externally on the infected area? Are you still gorging sinfully delicious high carbohydrate and sugary foods?

The fact is that when you want to cure yeast infections effectively, you should accustom to a healthy lifestyle and this will mean you have a proper cleaning habit and eat healthily. Most people do not know yeast infection could be a sign indicating the body is not in the right form.  If the body apparently cannot maintain the balance between acid and alkaline, our immune system will also be lower. In fact, this will facilitate the growth of yeast and dissemination. Avoid eating food high in sugar, have more vegetables, drink more water and eat more probiotics. Try not to wear tight jeans or pants as these clothes can trap heat and moisture for the yeast to remain.

The reason some people suffer from a yeast infection for a very long time could be because they have not changed their eating and cleaning habits, many will think by just applying the medication on the infected area can cure the symptoms permanently. However, the only way to control the overgrowth of yeast very effectively is to have a combination of different treatments together.

If you do not want to suffer too long for a yeast infection or have another relapse again, one of the best ways to improve the yeast infection is to go for an appropriate treatment, which not only treat the symptoms of the yeast infection externally, but also to focus on giving your body a better health.

Use only the right way to treat your yeast infection. Get your instructions on how to treat yeast infection quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Would a hysterectomy cure a yeast infection?
I have had a yeast infection for just over 3 years now. It started when I was pregnant with my second child. I have gone to many doctors and have taken all kinds of medication, but the 'yeast infection' still won't go away. I am only calling it a 'yeast infection' cause that's what my doctor says it is.

I am not having any of the classic signs of a yeast infection. There is no itching, burning when I pee, and the discharge isn't 'cottage cheese' like.

The only signs that I am having is a smell when my husband and I have sex, and the discharge is like a yellow, and is very thick. When my husband and I have sex the next day his penis is call raw and chapped up. All of my pap test have come back normal with some yeast.

I am tired of dealing with this and was wondering if anyone out there has gone through this and might know what it is, or how to cure it. And if I had a hysterectomy (we are not planning on having anymore children) would it cure the infection?
Also when I am on my period I am very heavy and I pass large clots. The doctor tells me that its normal to pass clots cause I have had two kids.

  3. QUESTION:
My poor baby!! Yeast infection treatments?
My poor little 17 month old had RSV last week which led to her developing an ear infection. Today I see that she has developed a yeast infection, probably because antibiotics often kill the good bacteria living down there.

I feel so bad that she is going through all of this at once! I had yeast infections as a child and my mom swears that plain yogurt is a miracle cure. I'm going to buy some tomorrow. Do you know of any good treatments for yeast infections? This is her first one... thanks! She has a follow up appointment next week to make sure that she has recovered from her RSV and ear infection. I'm confident that I can handle the yeast infection just fine, but obviously if it gets worse we'll go straight to the doctor.
And I mean applying the yogurt to her vaginal area, not eating it... lol... just clarifying.
Well she does eat yogurt everyday. But applying it vaginally is a common treatment that helps to balance out the bacteria down there.

    • ANSWER:
My son's former pediatrician, I called her the wonder doctor (sadly, she moved away), used to tell me to use monistat to treat severe diaper rash. Maybe using it for its intended purpose, even on a baby, is also fine. Ask her doctor just to make sure. The poor little darlin'...good luck!

  4. QUESTION:
my wife always gets a yeast infection, they happen frequently, it's making me mad.?
Ok ...for the past 4-5 years, i've noticed a change in my wifes body. We have young children together. She always seems to get these yeast infections that always get in the way of our sex life. She doesn't like me to go down on her during this time (not that I would want to) but I usually go down on her when she's healthy down there anyway. She will let me have sex with her when she's yeasty, but then it stinks..her poon is smelly and I can't concentrate on having sex if I smell pungent odorous stink.
She seems to always get these infections days after we have sex. For instance, right now she has a yeast infection then when she goes to cure it with creme, I want to have sex more and then she comes down with an infection days after.
I thought that it might be her diet. She drinks alot of diet coke/pepsi....mocha frappa, and she loves cheese. I had her go into the doctor within the last 2 months to get checked and to ask some questions but the doctor said she was ok and just to put nystastin on it. What else could be going on?

    • ANSWER:
make sure she goes to the bathroom before and after (within 30 minutes) having sex. having sex causes bacteria to be pushed farther up than it should be, and by peeing she is helping to flush it out of there!

oh and btw you could have a yeast infection to. yes guys can get it from having sex with someone who has one. so make sure you get treated too!

  5. QUESTION:
    Continuous yeast infection?
I am fifteen years old. I have had this yeast infection since I was thirteen. I had waited about a year until I finally decided to treat it. When I did, I got the seven day treating kit. It didn't work.

My mom started her period in the 9th grade. My sister started in the 8th. I'm in the 9th right now. I really want to get my period because I am constantly worried that I am sterile and will not be able to have children when I am older.

I can go buy another kit if I wanted to, but my mom is not the type to take me to the doctor for this. She is very thrifty and usually does not take me to the doctor unless it is very serious.

I don't have a boyfriend that I could be getting this from. I'm a virgin.

    So my questions are:
-Could I be sterile or just taking my time?
-What can I do to cure this? Is a doctor absolutely necessary?

    • ANSWER:
So you were itching for a year before you sought treatment?

You are not sterile. Starting your period late has nothing to do with your ability or inability to have children. My mom didn't start her period until she was 17 or 18 and she had 3 children.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear wet mucous discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away. It is what makes sex possible. You will also have your own unique musky scent and it will smell stronger to you than to others.

You can have this normal discharge for weeks, months or even years before getting your first period. It will also continue after you get your period. Some girls do produce more discharge than others. You can wear a pantyliner if it bothers you.

Your normal white/clear discharge will turn yellow or dry yellow when exposed to air. If it is coming out yellow, then you probably have a bacterial infection and need to see a doctor.

The amount and consistency of your normal discharge changes throughout your cycle and is effected by hormones, diet, water intake, medication, illness and exercise.

      Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Your first period can look like this also.

      Different types of infections:

      Signs of yeast infections:
      White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
      Intense itching
Use Monistat 7 or see a doctor.
You can eat a lot of plain yogurt but it doesn't usually help once you have an infection. Sugar feeds yeast, so stay away from sugar - no soda, candy, cookies, etc.

      Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
      Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
      See a doctor for antibiotics
