How Long Can An Untreated Yeast Infection Last

Many people all over the world are asking the question 'how long does a yeast infection last?' and are desperate to find out the answer so that they know what they are in for.
You yourself are probably in the same boat right? Like me you wanted to find the answer but no-one seemed to know. It really can be difficult to find what you want on the internet, too much junk amongst the gold.
This is why I put this quick article together, which will hopefully answer your question once and for all.
How long does a yeast infection last for?
This does depend on a few different factors. If you have a good, strong immune system then your yeast infection may only last a few days but if you are not that healthy and have a weakened immune system, then it could last up to a week or more.
One key thing to take away from this article, is that a yeast infection will last for as long as it is untreated - it is very unlikely to just clear itself up and you need to give your body a helping hand to get rid of it.
If you leave a yeast infection untreated, the symptoms may come and go and you might notice rashes clearing up and the itching stopping. But this is only temporary and usually lasts only a week or two before the symptoms flare up again. Don't forget, the infection was never cured and so was still there even if there are no symptoms at that present time!
Failure to treat a yeast infection will just result in it flaring up again and again and this is no good. You need to actually cure the root cause of the infection to stop it from coming back. Now I am not talking about over the counter remedies, as a lot of these just treat the symptoms and not the cause and are a waste of time and money.
So, how do I cure my yeast infection for good?
Easy - by using the best yeast infection cure available!
The Natural Cure for Yeast Infections is a superb treatment that is 100% all-natural and safe and won't affect your health (like some other treatments can do). It gets to work right away and provides immediate relief from those horrible symptoms. Plus, it will get to work curing your infection by removing the root cause of it - and it does all of this in just 12 hours. Yes, you really can cure your infection that quickly, there really is no need to suffer any longer!

QUESTION:
Vaginal yeast infection left untreated?
How long can a yeast infection last? I did some research and found out that there are other infections that have the same symptoms as a yeast infection. The cottage cheesy discharge, the smell, the itching or burning. Those are the most common symptoms but can be symptoms of other things. Can someone please tell me how long a yeast infection last if it goes untreated? I have been experiencing this for a few years now, almost all the time so I don't know if it's a yeast infection or something else. I have not been sexually active as far as oral or intercourse goes.-
ANSWER:
You need to go and see a doctor about this. Untreated infections can line up problems for later life, which is something I'm sure you'd rather avoid! A quick trip to see a doctor or a nurse will allow them to diagnose what is wrong, and give you the correct treatment.

QUESTION:
Urgent help!!! (women only preferably) ?
so basically i went to the doctors last week, and apparently i had a UTI. my doctor gave me some antibiotics, and today is my last day taking them. they haven't helped at all. today and yesterday "down there" has began to be itchy.. is this normal for a uti? how long does it normally take for a uti to go away? im calling the doctor first thing monday morning if nothing has changed, but my question is, is there any other type of infection or anything that i might have? ive had a UTI for a few months, but haven't really been to the doctor because i couldn't tell my mom.
some symptoms i have are, burning while urination, itchiness (that just recently started). I heard that you can get a kidney infection if you leave a UTI untreated long enough, but i dont have much pains that i cant handle or that are abnormal.
i also heard that you can contract a yeast infection after the antibiotics for the uti
can i buy some monistat and have it clear up?
which monistat should i buy?
should i still go see the doctor?
please help me!
what do i have?
how can i fix it?-
ANSWER:
There are a couple of possibilities -
1. The antibiotic didn't work. This happens sometimes, and you need to get a different prescription.
2. the antibiotic killed all your beneficial flora, and you have a yeast infection now. Sometimes this can spread and cause painful urination.
3. Both things have happened. The antibiotic will still kill all your beneficial flora, whether it works on your infection or not.You need to call your doctor's office, and see if there is anything they can do for you over the phone. They will probably want to see you.
For the weekend, drink lots of water, eat real yoghurt, don't eat any sugar and get plenty of rest.
Sorry - I know this is a pain! You can try the monistat, and see if it helps - but if the first dose doesn't bring some relief, don't use anymore.
