Yeast Infection Symptoms 225x300 Yeast Infection Symptoms

The general candida yeast infection symptoms are familiar to many people. As with many other health conditions, candida yeast infection symptoms are a clue to imbalances in your body that trigger many off-shoot conditions that form a vicious cycle where weight gain is usually one of the unfortunate results.

In particular, the candida yeast infection symptoms that affect weight gain the most are food cravings and digestive problems. If you're young, not sexually active, and you've never experienced candida yeast infection symptoms, you may not realize that you have, in fact, contracted this common and pesky condition. Doctors can administer tests for Candida, but most practitioners administer a questionnaire in order to determine if a person has the common candida yeast infection symptoms.

So what are the most common candida yeast infection symptoms. The candida yeast infection symptoms include itching and burning of the outer vaginal area, redness and inflammation of the labia, and a heavy, odorous vaginal discharge. The most common candida yeast infection symptoms are: fatigue, food intolerances, poor memory, feeling "spaced out", mental fogginess lack of mental alertness, confusion digestion problems (constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, bloating), food cravings (especially for sweets, refined carbohydrates or alcohol), erratic vision or spots before the eyes, lack of sexual desire, allergies (rashes and hives), headaches, mood swings, dry mouth or throat, heartburn, nasal congestion, bad breath, thrush (oral or vaginal), vaginal discharge / irritation or pain, persistent cystitis, vaginitis or prostatitis to name but a few. Some of the vaginal candida yeast infection symptoms include: Abnormal vaginal discharge which can range from a slightly watery, white discharge to a thick, white, chunky discharge (like cottage cheese); Vaginal and labial itching and burning; Redness of the vulvar skin; Pain with intercourse; and sometimes discomfort on urination.

There are different ways to attack candida yeast infection symptoms, but my recommendation is to try the natural method of diet and supplementation. No matter which method you try, do it under the care and supervision of a qualified practitioner, particularly since the practitioner can adjust supplement doses to counteract die-off candida yeast infection symptoms which often occur during the program as Candida is destroyed. You may be able to ignore the candida yeast infection symptoms and hope it goes away on its own, but you will never ignore a urinary tract infection caused by the yeast infection. Fortunately, while you're being treated for the urinary tract infection your physician will also treat the underlying candida yeast infection symptoms that caused this mess to begin with. Finally, to correctly identify candida yeast infection symptoms, your gynecologist will need a urine and blood sample to rule out more serious, even life-threatening conditions like cancer, chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, genital herpes, genital warts, and syphilis.

Yeast

We do not represent any yeast infection medication, neither do we advocate any specific yeast infection treatment process. A yeast infection is an irritation of mucous membranes of the body, such as the vagina, intestines, skin or mouth. If it happens at the mouth area, it will be called oral yeast infection. If it happens on the skin, it will be called skin yeast infection. Regardless of where it happens, the primary cause of yeast infection is still the same. It can also be found in a man (male yeast infection), even an infant (baby yeast infection). If you have recurring Candida yeast infections and are familiar with the very earliest signs, including itching that is not directly located in the genital region, don't wait for the symptoms to get worse. If you have only been using over-the-counter medications and find the Candida yeast infections seem to come back relatively often, ask your physician about an oral medication. If you have several Candida yeast infections over the course of many months, you may qualify for a maintenance dose of the oral prescription. Candida Albicans or Candida for short is the name given to yeast that lives in the bodies of each and every one of us. These yeasts are generally found in the intestinal tract and the vaginal regions. Under normal conditions, our body is easily able to cope with the presence of these yeasts and our natural defense system and beneficial bacteria control the spread of yeasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
How long does it take for yeast infection symptoms to completely stop after taking Monistat 1 dose??
I took the prefilled Monistat 1 ovule 4 days ago and I swear within a couple of hours the painfully intense burining/itching of the inside stopped almost completely!! When I woke up the next morning, I couldn't even tell I had a yeast infection. Well, I am still having very very slight external vaginal itching but not alot. I'm also having slight odorless discharge. I am pretty certain it was a yeast infection I had b/c after taking the Monistat, my symptoms almost completely went away but why am I still iching even slightly after 4 days when it's supposed to be a 1 day treatment?

    • ANSWER:
Unfortunately, Monistat gets rid of the yeast infection for now but you will have to deal with what caused it in the first place or it will come back. Take out all of the sugar from your diet and anything with yeast in it. I don't know if you know of a condition known as Candida but that is what you probably have. Oh and try and eat lots of plain yogurt - yeah I know it's yuck!

  2. QUESTION:

I had a yeast infection, and I used treatment and I thought everything was getting better and going away, but now it seems it might be coming back only after a few days because there is still that smell, and its still a little bit itchy.. Is it possible for these symptoms just to take longer to go away or is it coming back and should I get more treatment just to make sure? Also would it be okay to have sex during this time, because it seems to be almost gone?

    • ANSWER:
Hey I understand what you mean.
Monistat didn't work for me.. my doctor prescribed me meds and it made even worst!
Despite when it manage to heal, the yeast infection will come back again (means it's not fully cured).
I realized the only real cure for Yeast infection is doing the natural way so it won't come back again!

  4. QUESTION:
Why do I always get yeast infection-like symptoms during my period?
For the past year or so, it seems like I always get yeast infection symptoms when I have my period. I keep myself clean down there. I stopped using tampons & I've tried several different brands of pads & no matter what, I still get it. I get severe itching & cottage cheese like discharge, then it goes away when I period stops. What could be the issue?

    • ANSWER:
Basically the reason you have a yeast infection is because there's an imbalance in your body. A healthy person has a balance between the yeast in their body and the good bacteria in their body.

Too much yeast, you have a yeast infection. Too much bacteria, you have a bacterial infection.

So, when you have a yeast infection you essentially have too much yeast in your body relative to the good bacteria. The natural way to treat it and bring back that balance is to starve the yeast and introduce more good bacteria into your body.

Oh and BTW - That's why you often get relief from using the over the counter meds temporarily, and then the yeast infection comes back. The creams aren't changing the source of the problem. They are just killing the yeast they come in contact with, and not balancing the yeast/bacteria in your body and actually sometimes end up making things a lot worse.

Oh BTW2 - That's also why many times you'll get a yeast infection after using antibiotics. Antibiotics kill all the bacteria in your body, the good and the bad. When that happens the balance between the yeast and good bacteria is off, and once again and you get a yeast infection.

Things you can add to your diet (to help promote good bacteria) are live yogurt cultures (or take Acidophilus), plenty of water, fresh vegetables, lots of protein rich foods, whey protein, raw garlic, nuts, seeds, oils, millet, rice and oat brans

Things you should remove from your diet (to starve the yeast) are all sodas, sugars, fruit, fermented foods, foods containing white flour, alcohol (especially beer), antacids and any product that has yeast or mold

Changing your diet will definitely get you on the road to balancing the yeast and good bacteria, but what I would also recommend is to use a homeopathic solution to help naturally speed up the process.

I always feel if there's a natural way to do something, then it's best to avoid the chemicals. I would look for an natural product, that can be taken orally to promote re-growth of the good bacteria in your body.

There are a few out there, I think they are probably all pretty good. One that I have used and was very effective for me was is yeastrol.
      Best of Luck!

Hope this helps and best of luck! :)

  5. QUESTION:
difference between yeast infection and scratched vaginal symptoms?
i scratched ma vagina by accident while bathing.as i was going thru the internet i found out that yeast infection symptoms were similar to wat i was having..but as i went thru the images of yeast infection i dun think it looks like those images..help pls.

    • ANSWER:
You could have an allergy if you aren't having a discharge with your itching. The allergy could be from soap, body wash, bleach, laundry soap. Take a bath and add some baking soda if the itch goes away, you don't have an infection.

      Different types of infections:

      Signs of yeast infections:
      White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
      Intense itching

      Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
      Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

      Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
      An unpleasant odor
      Pain and itching when urinating
      Most apparent after your period
